- Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (paraphrased)

Welcome! Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and when external challenges impact us, it’s easy for our emotions to feel out of control. At times, even the smallest tasks can seem impossible. I’m Vanessa, and I’ve been there too. But change is possible — and our past, including trauma, does not have to define who we are or how we live.

Trauma can have lasting impacts on our emotions, thoughts, and even our bodies, but healing is possible. I specialize in helping individuals work through trauma, using a variety of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR is a powerful tool for processing and healing from past trauma, allowing you to move forward with greater peace and resilience. Together, we’ll explore ways to navigate these challenges, whether that’s through EMDR, learning new coping strategies, practicing self-compassion, or having a safe, non-judgmental space to express yourself. You don’t have to carry the weight of it alone.

I use a holistic, person-centered approach to therapy, integrating Mindfulness, CBT, Solution-Focused, and body-oriented practices, all viewed through a trauma-informed lens. Together, we’ll work through the effects of your history in a way that feels safe and empowering, using your values and goals as the guide for our journey.

I welcome individuals from all walks of life and have a deep commitment to helping those working through trauma, as well as anxiety, self-esteem, identity exploration, chronic pain, and organizational challenges. If you’re ready to begin your healing journey, sign up for a free online consultation through my booking site to see if we’re a good fit. I’m here to support you every step of the way.
